Meet the Artist
Francine Tone "Fran" to her friends and "Ranko-chan" to her grandmother, Francine was born in Japan and lived on the East and West coasts with a short stint in Europe before settling in the Sierra Nevada. Her Japanese name "Ranko" means "Orchid Child." Her childhood memories are filled with orchids and pearls and the melodies of classical music while studying the piano. From this early exposure to the beauties of nature and seeing the world, Francine finds inspiration from across the globe. Francine's designs bring Asia to the Sierra Nevada, bringing together the strength of granite formations with the delicateness of the orchid petal. Francine mixes the Pacific with the Sierra Nevada and melds Mt. Fuji with Lake Tahoe to create unique and limited edition timeless classics. Tone Jewels combines the simplicity and peacefulness of a Zen Garden with the complexity of Nature, melodically strung to create unique timeless classics designed to be worn by anyone of any age, at anytime on any occasion. |

accurate colors. Some photographs are taken indoors in artifical
light. Regardless of method, colors may vary slightly from
photographs and how they appear on your computer monitor. We make
every effort to upload photographs that reflect the colors as
closely as possible.
